About SAS

Sites Ambulance Service trading as (Surrey Ambulance) is an Independent Private Ambulance Service providing professional medical cover to the NHS, the private sector and private individuals.

We were formed in Surrey on the 8th May 2003 as Sites UK Ltd a joint Security, Training and Ambulance Service until 26th June 2008 when the Ambulance side of the company broke away from the training and security sector forming Sites Ambulance Service.

Then in early 2011 Sites Ambulance Service began a relaunch encompasssing a rebranding of the name Surrey Ambulance Service as a trading name and also branching into the Accident and Emergency area providing support to the surrounding NHS Ambulance Trusts carrying out emergency 999 calls. This area of the business saw a dramatic but exciting growth in a small amount of time, enhancing our staff profile to include IHCD Technicians and HCPC Paramedics who are vital and required to carry out the 999 emergency calls to ensure the patient recieves the best care and treatment at all times.

Surrey Ambulance Service welcomed and supported the introduction of the CQC – Care Quality Commision who regulate and carefully inspect Private Ambulance Services throughout the UK and was the very first in Surrey to be given the award.

Then in 2012 Surrey Ambulance Service moved from its Ambulance Station at Fairoaks Airport to a larger premises in New Haw Surrey which enabled the stage 2 of the expansion to take place.

The most recent news off the press is  Surrey Ambulance Service has moved the Ambulance Station to an even larger premises in Brookwood Woking allowing us to improve our service coverage by way of easy access to the A3 – M25 and M3 and all other ajoining motorway networks.

Following the move of the Ambulance station in Old Woking Surrey  we are also very excited to announce the opening of the ambulance station in Maidenhead , Berkshire. This station helps us to serve South Central Ambulance Service NHS Trust with additional resources in times of shortage and providing a key response.

After months of careful consideration and location surveying we secured a premises close to the M40 in Maidenhead. The new station enhances our ever growing professional portfolio and service delivery to our clients across the country.
